JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Operative
Working as a Maintenance Engineer, as part of the maintenance team on Panama shift schedule in a busy textiles manufacturing business, you will be tasked with a variety of vitally important maintenance and servicing requirements. You will need to ensure that the machinery and ancillary equipment is able to run effectively and constantly. With both proactive and reactive, scheduled and non scheduled work no two days will be the same.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Operative
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be required to perform a variety of tasks on any given day, these include:
· Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work of machinery and ancillary equipment. Including loom machines, weaving machines, heaters etc.
· Inspection of mechanical plant equipment.
· Install and test electrical installations to current IEE wiring regulations.
· Carry out electrical and mechanical installation, general repairs and servicing of machinery to specification.
· Investigate plant failures and breakdowns and carry out repairs quickly and effectively.
· Test emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.

We are open to where you have gained your experience and qualifications but you must satisfy the following:
· You need to be a competent electrically biased Engineer.
· You will be flexible and adaptable to tasks.
· Eager to learn new skills and procedures with on the job training.
· Analytical in your approach and able to solve problems as they arise.
