JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Account Manager - Industrial Products
The majority of our new business and leads are currently driven by an eCommerce site, supported by a strong element of repeat custom and existing clients. Reporting to our Sales Manager, youll be responsible for identifying and approaching new industries and managing key accounts, whilst increasing revenue and profitability through effective day to day activities and targeted sales initiatives. No two days are the same, but you can expect to:
· Generate new business through new customers, industry sectors and product offering.
·Develop existing key accounts through customer relationship management, strategic sales and product support, and utilise Prospect Soft to effectively track the life cycle of every enquiry/lead and customer.
· Support tender applications.
· Attend customer meetings.
· Prepare quotations for both new and existing customers and follow them through to conclusion.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Key Account Manager - Industrial Products
Youll be an experienced Sales Person / Key Account Manager, ideally within a similar role or industry. Youll likely have a technical aptitude and be keen to learn about new technologies and solutions and be customer focused. You must also:
· Be proficient with Microsoft Office.
· Have proven success within a Sales role - either Account Management or New Business, along with a proven track record of achieving KPIs & targets.
· Hold a full driving license with no more than 3 points.
· Possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal skills at all levels and with clients/vendors and partners.
· Have an eye for detail and be comfortable dealing with numerical data, with strong analytical skills.
