JOB DESCRIPTION: Continuous Improvement Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Process Engineer - manufacturing

Reporting to the Site Director, as our Continuous Improvement Manager, youll be a key component to our operations team by driving continuous improvement and change culture throughout the entire business. As well as researching projects, analysing data and implementing improvement changes, youll train, develop and mentor individuals and department teams to ensure that all process changes are understood and adhered to. Youll be welcomed into the team and supported throughout by the senior leadership team who are firmly behind this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Continuous Improvement Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Process Engineer - manufacturing

· Lead the development of a continuous improvement culture that is high in personal accountability and engagement.
· Establish common methodology for assessing risk mitigation, problem solving and project management.
· Ensure appropriate data analytics, dashboarding, KPIs, & value tracking have been established.
· Perform Gemba Walks, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Managing by Daily Improvement (MDI), Waste Analysis, and Process Activity Analysis with appropriate personnel or as an individual to prepare for continuous improvement events.
· Drive culture change through coaching, training, and mentoring in line with company behaviors.
· Value stream map to assess waste, constraints, top opportunities to improve with sustainable solutions that feeds a pipeline of value creation activities ensuring a sustainable continuous improvement process.
· Model continuous improvement by encouraging and coaching teams to utilize Process Control Boards (PCBs) and evaluate daily improvement efforts identifying issues and solutions to meet area goals.
· Develop the Lean and Six Sigma vision and strategy across the business.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Continuous Improvement Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Process Engineer - manufacturing

To be successful in your application, youll be able to demonstrate how you have previously implemented systems and process change with quantifiable outcomes. Youll be a hands-on, sleeves up person that is able to rub shoulders with personnel in all departments throughout the business and be inclusive and adaptable in your approach.

Youll likely have a BSc in chemical, mechanical or material science engineering or related area and ideally be a Six Sigma Certified Black Belt or minimum demonstrated Green Belt Six Sigma / Lean competency or have similar experience.

You will be able to demonstrate:

· A proven track record within mass manufacturing (possibly from Health Care, Medical devices, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, Aerospace, Food).
· Qualifications in Lean principles / Six Sigma and experience with tools such as Minitab, Vartan, Process mapping etc.
· A commitment to safety. This is one of our core values.
· How you drive change, including, winning hearts and minds to overcome objections.
· Projects you have either led or been part of relevant to manufacturing.
