We are currently looking for a Lab Automation Scientist to join a leading diagnostics company based in the Cheshire area. As the Lab Automation Scientist you will be responsible for supporting internal and external automation projects for lab robotic equipment

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Lab Automation Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. The Lab Automation Scientist role is a hybrid mix of on-site lab, customer lab and remote support and implementation of lab automation equipment such as Tecan, Hamilton Robotics, Beckman Coulter, PerkinElmer, Agilent or similar

2. Ideally you will have had previous experience of automated lab equipment specifically automated liquid handling machines

3. You will support brand new lab automation installations, existing installations and upgrades

4. You will be responsible for VIP support and lab automation training at the customer training centre

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Lab Automation Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Previous experience in lab automation ideally liquid handlers

2. Proven industry experience in lab automation, with hands on knowledge of lab automation systems such as Tecan, Hamilton Robotics, Beckman Coulter, PerkinElmer, Agilent or similar

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with lab workflows and processes
