Account Manager - Scotland

We are a leading adhesive, speciality chemicals and dispensing equipment distributor. We stock many of the biggest brands and sell into industrial and manufacturing sectors across the world. We now need a technically minded Account Manager covering Scotland, ideally with experience of selling a technical consumable product for a manufacturer or distributor.

BASIC SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Account Manager : Adhesives, Industrial

Overview - This is a challenging Account Manager role managing a geographic area across Scotland, you will be selling to end users within the manufacturing and engineering sectors for an established distributor. This is a standalone role with high levels of autonomy and your main responsibilities will be:

Account Management : 60% – To manage existing accounts across Scotland
Developing New Business : 40% - Finding and developing new business, often jointly with our vendor partners. Understand customers process or application requirements and provide a suitable solution. Then turning that solution into sound commercial sales

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Account Manager : Adhesives, Industrial

We would be delighted to receive applications from sales specialists or time served technically minded personnel within the technical consumable (ideally adhesives / resins) market looking to develop their career with a market leading adhesive distributor.
We would equally be interested in receiving and reviewing applications from existing Sales Executives / Area Sales Managers who sell a technical product into a manufacturing or engineering / industrial environment.

Training & Development - We will fully train you (both internal and external training courses) in all aspects of technical sales within our network and our diverse range of adhesive solutions.

It is highly likely that you would have undertaken one of the following roles: Areas Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Territory Sales Executive, Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, Distribution Sales Manager or Industrial Sales Manager.

Ideally you will also have some experience or exposure in the following markets or consumable products: fasteners, lubricants, abrasives, tools, adhesives tapes, cutting tools, welding, soldering, automotive, adhesives and sealants.
