The Assistant Librarian will play a key part in circulation, collection development and reader services. This is a varied and challenging role and will offer opportunities to develop skills in different areas of the profession.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
Although it is desirable, you do not need to have previous experience within a library. Perhaps you have experience within a customer environment in a similar type of organisation. You will need to enjoy helping and working in a customer focused position.
You will need to have at least a few years of work experience plus your postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Studies/Science to be considered for this role. The experience could have been gained before or after the qualification was achieved.
The role is full time and permanent, with a salary banding of between £27,941 - £32,182
