Business Analyst (Digital Programme)
Contract: 12 months
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: UK (Hybrid / Remote, occasional office days in either Leeds, Manchester or London

Project Overview
This role sits within a large-scale NHS digital transformation programme focused on modernising how referrals, appointments, and patient-facing services are delivered across the healthcare system.

The programme is centred on improving user experience, increasing operational efficiency, and enabling better integration between national and local healthcare systems through scalable digital platforms.

The work involves building seamless end-to-end journeys, integrating multiple systems, and establishing consistent standards across services and providers.

The Role
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering digital products by bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams, as well as a wide range of stakeholders including clinicians, operational teams, and programme leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements

  • Translate complex needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers

  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation in Agile environments

  • Map end-to-end processes and identify improvement opportunities

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define requirements

  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and delivered solutions

  • Support testing, validation, and implementation phases

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on digital or technology programmes

  • Experience working within NHS or public sector environments

  • Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments

  • Ability to manage and engage multiple stakeholders

  • Experience writing user stories, process maps, and functional specifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams

Desirable

  • Experience working on platform or integration-based products

  • Exposure to API-driven systems or data flows

  • Familiarity with NHS systems or healthcare interoperability standards

  • Mid-Senior Business Analyst

  • Strong experience in Agile delivery teams
