Business Support and Research Associate

Miryco Consultants are looking for an enthusiastic graduate Researcher to join their offices in Houndsditch, just 5 minutes from Liverpool Street Station.

Miryco specialise in financial services recruitment, working with top-tier Investment Management firms and leading Insurers across the City. As a small but growing team, the Research Associates are fully immersed within all aspects of the business, working alongside Senior Consultants with years of industry experience from day 1.

As a Research Associates, you are primarily responsible for resourcing candidates and for providing business operations support. You can expect to be exposed to client and candidate meetings in your first few weeks, whilst building your skills in a professional environment. Alongside this, Research Associates are encouraged to get involved in various projects, whether maintaining the website and social platforms or attending external conferences / networking events.

You will also receive one-to-one and group training from Management and Directors to provide you with the necessary tools to eventually become an effective billing consultant. On a daily basis, there is the opportunity to earn commission, making this a fun, fast-paced and potentially highly lucrative role. Miryco operates a true meritocracy with a clear promotional path laid out. As a result, Research Associates are known to progress to Consultant within 6-12 months. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Support:

  • Headhunting and sourcing of candidates through various means.
  • Search/Shortlist CVs in line with job order request, ensure CVs are of a specific standard and reflective of client requests.
  • Coding candidates on to the CRM (Bullhorn).
  • Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the market and researching potential job leads.
  • Able to collate all contractor information to meet client and internal requirements.
  • Ownership of advertising for the company.
  • Support in relation to marketing activity.
  • Fully working use of recruitment search tools.
  • Small amounts of compliance responsibility.

Industry Knowledge and Subject Matter Expertise

  • Have a good understanding of recruitment and competent understanding of wider financial service market including:
    • Key requirements of jobs, not just key terms.
    • Candidates within the target market.
    • Clients within the target market.
  • Attend industry conference and talks.

Internal Deliverables:

  • Administration duties including: identification and national insurance checks, verification of qualifications, obtaining bank details, dealing with timesheets, payroll queries and amendments, tracking credit checks, reference checking, drafting marketing copy, screening candidates, performing interviews and conducting research on candidate’s backgrounds.
  • Capture info / calls / bookings correctly on Bullhorn database –updating and maintaining client and candidate information database.
  • Manage own Personal Development Plan.
  • Carry out work instructions in line with Key Processes and Company Values.
  • Keep the CRM system (bullhorn) up to date (candidate/client notes, meetings, calls, visa checks etc) and ensure records are in line with legislative requirements.
  • Any other duties as required.
