Our client is a very well-established name in large format print, point of sale and retail installations. Due to strong business growth they are looking to add a CAD technician to their existing technical team. Within this role, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to site so having access to their own transport and having a flexible attitude towards work is important. You’ll get the opportunity to work with some global brand names on some innovative design work of bespoke in-store point of sale installations.

You will be involved with construction and building projects, from design briefs all the way through to the point of installing.

The Role

As CAD Technician, you will be:

• Producing layout drawings and calculations using Solidworks
• Contacting clients, suppliers and engineers to discuss design, details and drawings
• Updating construction drawings where required
• Liaising with artworkers and production floor staff to oversee builds
• Project coordination, site visits and off-site installs

The Person

You should have:

• An eye for quality and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Building or construction experience (ideally in the retail sector)
• Experience with the following:
  • Solidworks (or similar 3D software)
  • Adobe Illustrator – desirable
  • Adobe Photoshop – desirable
  • Solidworks Visualiser – desirable
  • Sheet metal experience – desirable

Salary and Benefits

Salary on offer is up to £35,000 based on experience, plus benefits including private pension scheme, 24 days holidays plus Bank Holidays. This position is a full-time office based role working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.
