CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)
Position: Full Time
Location: Hybrid (London)
Salary: £120,000 - 150,000 + generous equity offering

What are they hiring for?
As part of their growth strategy, they are now hiring for a Chief Technology Officer to be part of their executive team.
The CTO will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the product and engineering functions; then scaling and leading the teams effectively to deliver upon strategic objectives.
With the support of the Head of Product and Head of Engineering you will be scaling the teams from 7-8 people to 20+ within the first year.
What will you be working on?
Strategy & Leadership
- Set the vision and strategy for the product and engineering teams in line with the wider business goals.
- Develop a clear product and technology roadmap
- Assess the wider market to ensure a constant competitive advantage.
- Communicate the product and technology strategy effectively to all internal and external stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Coach and develop the Heads of Product and Engineering and, in term, support their leadership of the wider teams.
- Plan recruitment in line with strategic goals.
- Attract and hire excellent Product & Engineering talent
- Build and nurture a culture of problem solving and shared learning.
Product & Engineering Ownership
- Ownership of the specification, architecture and implementation of the SaaS solution.
- Optimise performance and security with scalability in mind.
- Continually evaluate new tools and technology
- Outline goals for product discovery and work closely with the Head of Product to drive the team towards clear objectives.
What will you need?
We are looking for a technologist who has a proven track record of designing, developing and implementing software applications.
Ideally you will have worked in a fast-paced start-up environment previously and be experienced at scaling, coaching and leading high-performing teams.
Experience with delivering B2B SaaS applications in an agile environment is essential. However, if you have experience of B2B2C and the eCommerce sector, then this would be hugely advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to make things happen at pace and scale is really important.
