Data Engineer

An exciting opportunity for a tech savvy Data Engineer!

The company

A well established financial services provider operating across Europe and North America.

The role

You will join the Data Engineering team and help provide the platform and tools necessary to enable data producers and consumers across the business to share data in a frictionless way. The Data Engineering team plays a key role in ensuring that the requirements on data being made available for analytics, data science, reporting and BI are met, while enabling users to build their own data pipelines.

• Build and operate the company’s data lake on Google Cloud Storage/BigQuery
• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines
• Work with transformations of data from one or multiple source systems to feed the analytics and ML applications
• Help data consumers within the company find the data they need and assist them with setting up pipelines and exports
• Help identify new use-cases for data and work with stakeholders from across the business to implement those

Your skills and experience

• Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Extensive experience working in a Data Engineering role
• High proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience from building streaming data pipelines
• Experience from building cloud data solutions
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with DBT
