Are you an external account manager keen on joining one of Oxfordshire’s fasting growing sales teams? I only ask because I’m looking for an external account manager keen on joining one of Oxfordshire’s fasting growing sales teams, so… if you know anyone?
Look, everyone knows sales is hard, but when the product you are selling is top of the range and has won multiple awards, your life is made considerably easier.
My client sits within the tech distribution sector, diversifying their offering from their competitors by offering value added services to their partners. They have seen incredible growth in the last 24 months and forecasts show this is only going to continue.
We’re looking for an external channel account manager to work alongside some big clients based in and around London. You’ll manage your own diary, sorting your time between visiting clients and working remotely. It’s essential you’re able to drive so you can meet with partners as required. Hitchhiking isn’t really a viable option.
You’ll need to have a background in software solution sales or IT channel sales. Ideally, you’ll have previously worked with resellers or vendors and if you have worked with end users before that is a bonus.
You’ll be working closely with the inside sales team as you help identify new partners which will help drive incremental sales. You will need to be the rarest of the rare: someone who knows a bit about IT and is also sociable. We need a people person, as you will be building and maintaining strong relationships with your customer base and identifying the key decision makers.
The accounts you manage will vary in size, but some accounts have been known to be as high as £25 million (around 7,352,941 cups of coffee), so experience with managing large accounts is essential. You will need experience executing successful business plans with partners, as well as ensuring they have all of the tools necessary to realise their sales potential.
You’ll need to be a commutable distance to London as you will visit clients there regularly, as well as Banbury, where you’ll be visiting the head office once or twice a month.
Salary-wise you will be looking at between £30-45K depending on experience, with great OTE potential on top of this. There are also great opportunities to progress within the company, as they have aggressive hiring plans this year.
If you are interested or want to know more, call me, send me a message, DM or e-mail – whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
