Logistics Sales Executive

LV Recruitment are delighted to be representing a successful global logistics business with their recruitment of a Sales Executive. The role is to open the door for new business within the Southwest of England.

To be considered for this role, you must have extensive knowledge of air, sea or road freight and have strong relationship building sales experience. Support will be given in areas such as marketing & operations, however this role requires excellent logistics and supply chain knowledge.

My client has an excellent reputation for their company culture and values, so it is essential that the new sales executive is invested in learning and training to follow company standards.

Main duties:

  • To manage an assigned territory and demonstrate extensive knowledge
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork
  • Attend training & development sessions to continue developing selling skills, and keeping up to date on product and service knowledge
  • Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customer’s logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations
  • Confirm sales meetings with potential clients via phone, email, and marketing
  • Attend onsite sales meetings to convert clients (Currently these will be Zoom meetings until safe to resume)

  • The ability to meet with customers off-site on a regular basis
  • Empowered to make quick decisions in response to changing conditions
  • Sense of urgency for goal achievement
  • Strong problem solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Influences others to action
  • Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment
  • Experience of face-to-face sales meetings and deals.
  • At least 2-3 years of industry related sales experience is essential

As you will be covering the Southwest of the UK, you will ideally need to live in an area that will allow you to travel from: Plymouth/Salisbury/Bournemouth/Cornwall and get to Head Office in Bristol for meetings with the team once a week. Remote working from home will be your base if you are not out meeting with clients.

A car allowance and base salary of up to £40,000 with a realistic OTE of £50,000- £55,000. The commission structure is uncapped so there is huge earning potential for the right person.
