Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid)
An international technology company, headquartered in South America and expanding its presence in Finland, is building a new Machine Learning team in Helsinki. The company focuses on applying artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems, rapidly prototyping ideas and scaling them into robust, production-ready systems.
We are seeking an early-career Machine Learning Engineer with industry experience, a passion for rapid prototyping, and a strong understanding of scalability best practices. The team brings multidisciplinary expertise across industries and values curiosity, collaboration, and technical excellence. This is an opportunity to grow within a group of like-minded experts shaping how machine learning is practiced across the organization.
Collaborate with teammates and clients in brainstorming sessions, prototyping sprints, and project planning.
Manage the full lifecycle of machine learning models, including data preparation and analysis, training, deployment, monitoring, and error analysis.
Design scalable architectures to optimize models for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and incorporate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects.
2–4 years of experience in machine learning or a related field.
Strong scripting and rapid prototyping skills (Python preferred).
Familiarity with MLOps principles, including deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.
Solid software engineering fundamentals (version control, testing, containerization).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
