At MRL, we hire people of all ages. And whether they’re fresh-faced graduates or seasoned professionals, we treat them all like grown-ups.
That goes without saying, surely? But all too often in our industry, it’s not the case.
We wouldn’t work any other way. We’re not a hothouse, hitting the phones so hard it hurts. We’re not a retirement home for burnt-out recruiters either – although you do get to work in sunny Hove, which has got to be better than the 7.05 into Victoria.
What we are is a dependable, professional, profitable tech recruitment business built on an intelligent approach. We’ve been around for 20 years and, increasingly, we’re taking on retained and exclusive work. Clearly, our way of working works – it’s good for us. It’s good for our clients and candidates. It’s good for the wider industry.
It’s also good for the people who work here.
If someone needs training, we sort it out. If they want to branch out in a new direction, we listen (our French and German offices were originally set up by existing UK-based employees) and if they want to be left alone to get on with what they’re good at, we do that too.
What we’re looking for
Keeping a spec broad enough to drive a bus through is one of the first things they teach you at Recruitment School. Here’s ours:
1) You’re good at what you do
2) You like us and we like you.
3) You’ve worked in tech recruitment – or you have an interest that will help you get to grips with the intricacies of technology.
But above all:
4) You’re on a career trajectory. You’re moving for more responsibility and to develop.
We appreciate that now might not be the ideal time to move – we want people with a career plan, not those who drift from job to job. But whatever your current situation, if you like the sound of MRL then we should definitely talk – in complete confidence, obviously. We pay good salaries and have a superb benefits package from day one. Get us out on Glassdoor or to learn more see ours careers page: https://www.mrlcg.com/careers/
