This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join our client's team, based at our Tamworth or Rotherham office.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accurate costs and supporting technical information to enable their client to submit competitive tenders for façade projects.

This role is a senior position.

Principal Accountabilities

• Produce high-quality tender returns, ensuring that the tender accurately reflects the tender documents that have been received.
• Diligently review tender documents received
• Competently operate specialist estimating software to determine material costs
• Produce high quality marked up scope documentation, including drawings and specifications
• Competently complete company costing sheets
• Work with clients' supply chain as required Request project specific quotations
• Maintain contact with the main contractor as appropriate throughout and beyond the tendering process
• Assist with providing handover files, estimating budgets etc. upon award of contract.
• Ensure that tender submissions consider current legislation (Building Regulations, CWCT, British and EN Standards, etc.)
• Update CRM system and follow up on submitted tenders in line with company procedures.
• Actively and innovatively contribute to the learning and growth of the estimating department
• Keep up to date with commercial and legislative changes within the façade industry.
• Work using your own initiative to meet the tender and commercial deadlines set.
• Work as part of a team and maintain a harmonious working environment. Be aware of and adhere to requirements of the company culture – vision and values in all people, interactions and morale both inside and outside the company.

Key Requirements

• Experience working in an Estimating/Senior position
• Good technical knowledge of façade construction technology
• Recognized third-level qualification in construction relevant discipline, desirable but not essential
• Possession of excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization, as well as with external parties
• Highly engaged, proactive and motivated individual with a strong commercial understanding.
• Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet analysis
