Snr BD Manager - Psychedelics
The world of Psychedelic Sciences is gaining momentum every single day. Clinical Trials are delivering promising results and legal restrictions are becoming increasingly relaxed in the US, UK and Europe. But with this momentum comes increasing demands for psychedelic compounds within Psychotherapy Units and for self-administration.
Our client is a leading international mycelium grow bag and spore producer, specializing in sustainable and high-quality cultivation products. With a strong presence in EU countries, they are now expanding their operations to the United States. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in establishing their brand, developing distribution channels, and fostering relationships with B2B and B2C customers.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead our client's entry into the US market. Your primary focus will be on expanding distribution channels, building strong relationships with B2B and B2C customers, and driving sales growth for mycelium grow bags and spores. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with C-Suite to develop a comprehensive market entry strategy for the US, including target segments, distribution channels, and competitive positioning.
- Identify and engage potential B2B partners, retailers, distributors, and resellers across the United States to establish a strong network for product distribution.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key B2B and B2C customers, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, monitor sales performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Use insights to adapt business strategies and product offerings accordingly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that increase brand visibility and generate demand in the US market.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase products, establish contacts, and expand the company's network.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including production, operations, and customer service, to ensure efficient order fulfillment and customer support.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the agriculture, horticulture, or related industries. Experience in the mycelium cultivation sector is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and expanding distribution channels, preferably within the USA’s B2B and B2C markets.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and customers.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective business strategies.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, drive revenue growth, and effectively manage a sales pipeline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and negotiate business agreements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt quickly to changing market dynamics.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
